Join Jews for a Just Peace at a a monthly vigil

IN SUPPORT OF WOMEN IN BLACK

When: Fourth Monday of every month.

Where: Vancouver Art Gallery—the Robson Street (South) side.

Who: All are welcome.

What: A silent candlelight vigil in support of the Women In Black.

"Wear black, bring light" (candles etc.)

Why: It's a useful action in a just cause. If you haven't attended one of these before, we recommend it highly. The simple act of standing in quiet testimony to people we support and values we treasure is a powerful experience, for those who stand and for those who pass or stop to look. The folks from Movement For Mass Movements are often there to present a compelling silent performance. Handing out leaflets —if you get to do that—opens up questions and comments from passers by, which is interesting and affords important opportunities for respectful dialogue.
